Fitness ConsultationOur private Fitness Studio utilizes Nautilaus Equipment as well as a range of other options. We offer several different fitness evaluations. The ‘Mini Eval’ is a one hour version suitable for patients who are very active now. This evaluation will determine certain fitness levels and the specialist will set you up with a program that you can begin right away. Safety is always a priority and your physical limitations are considered when developing a plan, as well as your preferences as to where you are most likely to be active (home, gym, pool, etc). Our Full Evaluation is a two hour process done on two separate days. During this evaluation your cardio, strength, flexibility and balance will all be assessed. You’ll have an activity plan designed for you (see above) and more specific instruction will be given to your individualized needs. We encourage all patients to use one of these evaluations plus a continued series for a minimum of 6 weeks to truly develop your program. Osteoporosis Evaluation & PlansDeveloping and keeping strong bones is an area we are passionate about. We’ve found that women in their early 20’s today are beginning to show signs of bone loss due to lack of strength training and too many carbonated beverages. Our program is customized for your specific needs and challenges. We’ll determine a plan that challenges your muscles and bones to send new signals to the brain that you are going to need to stay strong. This is a must for women who have already been diagnosed with bone loss. It’s not too late to reverse the trend with a specialized strength training program provided by Stephanie Vernis, Masters in Education, and CPT. |
